About this Jeep Safari Volcanic Route in Lanzarote

Would you like to discover one of the most exceptional landscapes in the Canary Islands? We’ll take you there! The Volcanic Route Jeep Safari in Lanzarote shows you the most remarkable points in Timanfaya National Park. The ease and comfort of our jeeps mean that this tour is perfect for enjoying as a couple, with friends or family. Make your booking and have fun with us.

Timanfaya Natural Park: much more than a volcano

The adventure begins at the Monument to the Farmer—in the House-Museum of the Farmer—which we will visit to soak up the architecture and agricultural traditions of the island.

Then we’ll set off for La Geria. We’ll stop at a winery to discover how the famous wines from the only volcanic region in Spain are made.

And then we head to Timanfaya. What can we say about this National Park? It has volcanic landscapes that will take your breath away and is a compulsory stop if you’re visiting Lanzarote. Our guide will also tell you all about its special features so that you enjoy it to the full. While at the park you can stop for a drink in the bar/café.

Next, we’ll move on to the “El Golfo” area. Here you’ll see a rare example of hydrovolcanism, volcanic activity that produces the most surprising rocky formations. The sea passes through the middle of the crater, forming a black beach that contrasts with the colour of Lago Verde at the end of the beach. It’s certainly not something you see every day!

A few kilometres further on you’ll find Los Hervideros, a cliff next to the sea where the waves crash powerfully against the rocks. It’s an exciting spectacle that will give you a fantastic set of photos.

We continue on to Salinas de Janubio, a salt mine that was closely linked to fishing, the salting industry and the island’s tinned foods. Views of the landscape will fill you with a wonderful sense of peace. Observe the contrasting colours and the architectural features, which are a delight.

The excursion ends at Papagayo Beach, where you’ll fall in love with the white sand and turquoise waters. Seize your chance to go for a dip and put the icing on the cake of your excursion through southern Lanzarote.
